Do you know that you learn more while watching TV then just sit in your room studying like a mad dog? I know i do =D

Kelvin thinks that i am addicted to TV when i think i am really addicted to TV. When i was in primary school, i was a addicted to TV but for a different reason. I was addicted to the Chinese drama although we didn’t subscribe to Astro yet. Usually after school, I’ll be watching TV until i sleep at night. So fun.

However now i watch TV for a different reason. I don’t know why, i but seem to very interested in learning alot of new things!! When you see my studying, actually i study just to get good results in my exam. But actually studying like that is meaningless. What is the meaning of it when for the whole term you keep studying and repeating the same thing just to remember what you learn and pass the exam with flying colours and get people to pat you and thinks that you are very clever when there are so many things ( more practical info than what you learn ) out there ( in the TV ) where you can make use in the future. When i am not studying, i will be watching TV. I don’t watch chartoons because it is childish =P I watch all the goodie goodie channels. Big fan of discovery channel, national geographic, what is channel 53? but that channel is also my addiction and also crime investigates 79 and movies HBO, cinemax and star movies!

I mean in what subject which i am taking now can tell me that people think that the pyramids were build by the aliens? Which lecturer can tell me how to survive if i got lost in the jungle or desserts or an island when i can watch MAN VS WILD on discovery channel? Who would ever know that salami can be used as rocket fuel just in case we are out of petroleum? I would never know all the famous serial killers in the world like TED BUNDY if i didn’t watch TV. Or that the spidew web is one of the toughest substance in the world. I don’t know why i remember these facts better that what i have studied for a few months.

Oh ya i learn some thing about sleep paralysis too!! For chinese if you get sleep paralysis, usually you will see a ghost or something like that la. Not really a nice experience. They call it ‘ pei gwai chack!’ haha. This also happen in in the US but instead of seeing ghost or what, they say they were being abducted by aliens. But researchers soon found out that it is all sleep paralysis and what you see is based on where you are from because different place have different culture and tradition. And you usually get sleep paralysis when you are really tired and it happens when you are having your cross over to the dream world half way. You wake up but your nerve system is shut down, so you can’t move for that period but you will be ok when you wake up.

Maybe that is why I don’t put my studies as my top priority any more. Ok la it went to second or third place. Hmmm..  So people, watch more TV. Even doctor House says so.. It will do you good.
